Student Athletes - CAS

Center for Academic Success

Student Athlete
Success Program

Every semester, the program serves approximately 300 student-athletes from the 11 athletic programs here at Butte College.

Currently our SASP department is online through the Center for Academic Success (CAS). Student-Athletes are encouraged to enroll in the EDUC 310 FREE course each semester. This allows our students to access our SASP director, study in the SASP virtual room, tutorial support, and complete Critical Skills Workshops.

As we transition back to Face-2-Face instruction, SASP will continue to have all of the CAS services available virtually through the EDUC 310 class as well as have a space dedicated to in-person study hall with the access to CAS services in the online mode as well.

The goal is for these student-athletes to internalize positive study habits that will result in a successful academic future while at Butte and after they transfer.
